Grover's is the kind of place that begins with a dog. Named after Mylene Dizon's beloved pet — a scruffy, beloved companion she affectionately calls her "booboop" — the guesthouse carries the same warmth, personality, and quiet loyalty that Grover the dog embodies.

Mylene, one of the Philippines' most beloved actresses, has long been a devotee of La Union. After her first successful Airbnb listing — SurfStar Elyu Room 8 — she set about building something larger: a home where others could feel what she feels every time she arrives in Elyu.
Grover's opened in early 2025 with 10 rooms spread across two floors — loft-style rooms for families and barkada, intimate doubles for couples, and the flagship Room 205 where Mylene herself retreats when she needs a reset.

SurfStar Elyu — The First Listing
Mylene Dizon lists SurfStar Elyu Room 8 on Airbnb — her first La Union property. The warm response from guests proves that the Elyu dream is worth building bigger.
2024
Grover Enters the Picture
The property gets its name and its soul. Mylene's dog Grover — her "booboop" — becomes the mascot, the muse, and the heart of the brand-in-progress.
Early 2025
Grover's Opens Its Doors
10 rooms across two floors open in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. Loft rooms, cozy doubles, and the flagship Sunset Room — all with Tempur beds, Häfele locks, and the La Union horizon.
2025
Soft Opening, Full Hearts
The soft opening welcomes the first wave of guests. TikTok videos go viral. @baonguisnina posts a full room tour. The internet falls in love with Grover's — just as Mylene knew they would.
